You may cancel your Yodel Web
account at anytime by giving 30 days notice to FulfilNET in
writing. If your account is cancelled prior to the end of
each annual term, You will not be entitled to a refund of
any monies. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions. |

How do I give you the content for my website? |
Yodel Web will send you a simple Content
Collection Booklet which will be a guide for your content
– all you have to do is complete the booklet with your
text and send us some images.
Or, if you have brochures, advertising material, material
from your suppliers, testimonials from your customers, a copy
of your business plan, you can send us these and we will build
your FirstSiteT website from that material.
Or you can call us and we will guide you through the process
and make suggestions.

How does copyright affect my website? |
If you are using material (text or images) that are not
yours, you should obtain permission from the owner of the

What will happen after the first 12 months? |
You can renew your hosting/licence contract for a further
12 months at the prevailing annual rates of $100 per year

What hidden costs are there? |
There are no hidden costs, however you should be aware
that you are entering a twelve month contract for which the
minimum charge is the set-up fee plus the first twelve month’s
worth of monthly fees. The only other additional charges that
apply to your Yodel Web website are for requests
to us to make modifications, transfers & additions to
your site. |

Yes – they are simply different terms for the same
thing. |

Can I cancel my yearly subscription and organise my own
hosting? |
If you cancel your hosting fee you are effectively cancelling
your site with us. We will provide you with a hard copy of
your site for your reference, but unfortunately we are not
able to provide you with a soft copy. The reason for this
is that your design template and information are not stored
together, rather they are served up together but independently
from one another. This does offer an advantage in that it
allows you or us to quickly and easily change the design of
your site.
A transfer to html pages can be requested but fees apply. |

What is a domain name? |
A domain name is your address on the web. Just as your
street address allows people to find your house your domain
name allows people to find your home page (the first page
of your internet site). An example of a domain name is www.yourbusiness.com.au.
Where “www” is the world wide web; “yourbusinessname”
is the name of your business, and “:com.au” means
that you are a business registered in Australia. |

Can I change the name down the track? |
You can change the domain name in the future if you wish
to. To do this you would need to register a new domain name
and have it delegated to your site server. You could then
let the old domain name lapse or you may choose to keep it
and have two domain names pointing to your site. |

Can someone overseas use my domain name to access my website
or is it only for use in Australia? |
Your website can be accessed by anybody anywhere in the
world with internet access. All they need to do is type your

Can you provide me with emails on my Domain Name? |
Yes. You can purchase a block of 5 email accounts for
an additional $60 per year (plus GST). |

Do you have access to my email? |
At certain times it may be necessary for you to provide
us with the password to your site. This will only be when
you are experiencing a fault or want us to perform modifications
to your site. During these times we do have access to your
e-mail service. However, we take your privacy seriously and
we are bound by the Commonwealth Government’s Privacy
Act. |

To maintain your FirstSiteT website you need the following:

No. Your site is hosted independently of your computer
and nearly everything to do with FirstSiteT is accessed via
the internet and stored on our servers, including your email,
therefore it will have no noticeable effect on your PC’s

What is hosting? |
Hosting is the placement of your website onto the Internet
through a server. Once your site is on a server, anyone with
Internet access can look at your website – from anywhere
in the world, 24 hours a day. To have your website hosted
you must have the following 2 things:
1. A website
2. A domain name (see definition). |

What is a server? |
A computer that stores information that can be accessed
through the world wide web network. Servers can also be used
to store website information that can be accessed by any computer
(with a connection to the Internet) through a browser. Two
of the most common types of browsers are Internet Explorer
or Netscape Navigator. |

What do I get for the ongoing yearly fee? |
To have your website available for the world to see it
must be hosted. The yearly fee pays for the hosting and the
continued access to the FirstSiteT software. It also pays
for FulfilNET to continuously develop new security measures

service. The yearly fee also gives you access to our comprehensive
Customer Support. You also have access to any software upgrades
that become available. |

Why do I need my website hosted? |
If you want your website to be seen (by those with access
to the Internet, 24 hours a day worldwide) then you have to
place it on a server (see definition). You can either place
it on your own server or you can rent some space (be hosted)
on someone else’s server. As most small to medium sized
companies don’t have their own server their websites
are hosted on someone else’s server. |

How secure and reliable is your hosting facility? |
Each of the network servers we use has specific security
to prevent denial of service attacks. They are configured
to create a maze effect so hackers can’t get to valuable
data. Advanced firewalls cordon them off from the ‘open’
internet. Network engineers who can detect and thwart hacking
attempts monitor them 24/7. There are also physical security
measures in place. Visitors are escorted in the building at
all times and intruder and fire alarms are monitored 24/7. |

A firewall insulates a private network from a public network
using carefully established controls on the types of request
they will route through to the private network for processing
and fulfilment. Firewalls typically run monitoring software

What is a search engine?
How do they work? |
A search engine is like a huge world ‘Index’.
You use it to look up Internet sites located around the world.
You can search using key words. For example. If you wanted
to search for a dressmaker in Melbourne who specialised in
eveningwear you would type in ‘dressmaker Melbourne
evening’ and you would get a list of web sites to visit
(known as ‘search results’). You can then click
on the addresses and be taken straight to the site.
Each search engine works differently. Some scan for information
in the title or header of the document; other’s look
at the bold ‘headings’ on the page for their information.
The fact that search engines gather information differently
means that each will probably yield different results. Therefore,
it’s wise to be registered with more than one search
engine. |

Will my Yodel Web website be submitted to
Search Engines? |
When we build your Yodel Web website we will
automatically add the appropriate key words and phrases (called
metatags). When your website is submitted to any Search Engine,
this is what the Search Engine looks for. We will submit your
website, free of charge, to Google. However, a free Search
Engine is never as effective as a paid service. You can submit
your Yodel Web website to any paid Search Engine
or Directory at any time you like. |

Is there any point in having a website if it’s not
registered with Search Engines? |
Yes. Many businesses use their website to communicate
with existing customers who already know you. You can tell
your customers your URL (internet address) and let them know
of special offers, discounts, etc. This is why we recommend
you put your URL on all of your stationery, business cards,
business signs, vehicles, etc. |

Will having a Yodel Web website make it easier
for someone to ‘hack’ into my computer? |
No because your Yodel Web website will be
stored on our server there is no additional risk of someone

The Yodel Web software has been in development
since 1998. It is being used by a number of major organisations
including the Catholic Church in Australia and the Yellow
Pages company, Telecom Directories Limited, in New Zealand. |

You can either update the information yourself, for something
minor this takes just a few minutes, or alternatively you

Can I change my site whenever I like? |
Yes you can. We provide you with easy to use tools to
go in and change your text, graphics, design template, fonts,
colours etc. You only need very basic computer skills to do

Can I put lots of photos of my stock on the site and put
them where I like? |
There is a limit of 4 images on each of the 4 pages. This
has been designed like this to ensure that your site is fast
and easy to access. Pictures take up a lot of room and can
slow down access to your site. Remember that your customers
are paying to be online. You really need only just enough
information on your site for your customers to become interested
enough to phone you, email you, or come to see you.
In the future we anticipate adding a “catalogue”
option to our Yodel Web software to allow your
customers to see many of your products and actually buy them
on line |

There is a limit of 300 words per page. Our research has
indicated that the visitors to your website do not want to
see too much information. The word limit is also designed
to restrict the amount of scrolling your visitors will have
to do on any given page. |
